In this study, a micro deformation monitoring system was designed for metal plate based on computer vision. A rhombic mark on the aluminum plate was made to measure the micro deformation inside the aluminum sheet. For achieving high accuracy, the sub-pixel-level corner detection was applied to achieve the corner coordinates information of the mark. The micro deformation would be calculated in real deformation situation by using the proposed method. This monitoring system could be used in industrial production to detect whether samples slightly deformed.
