Static recrystallization or sub dynamic recrystallization may occur during multi pass forging clearance of turbine blade. The static recrystallization behavior of martensitic stainless steel was studied by two pass hot compression test. By linear fitting the flow stress data, the parameters in the standard JMAK equation were obtained. Based on JMAK equation, the static recrystallization kinetics model of martensitic stainless steel was established. It provides a basis for the actual forging process of steam turbine blades.
