Environmental corrosion investigation is an important issue for all kinds of engineering material and construction. Based on the author’s 30 year experience in national soil websites, long-distance pipelines, oilfield areas, and marine atmosphere and other corrosion environment surveys, this article introduces the new technology integration of design arrangements, data collection, data analysis and comprehensive evaluation in environmental corrosion survey. It focuses on the design and arrangement of corrosion tests, detection technology, pattern recognition, fractal and other data processing and comprehensive evaluation methods of hazard matrix.
