In this paper, a compact dual port multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna with a compact size of 26 ×40 mm 2 is presented. In this proposed designed antenna two square-shaped with slotted cut radiating elements (Planar monopole) are used and positioned opposite to each other for improved isolation. The operating frequency of the presented antenna is 4.1GHz to 10.6 GHz. Two L-shaped stubs are introduced in the ground plane of the antenna to improve the isolation of the proposed design. The Mutual coupling between the two-port of antenna is less than-15 dB for complex impedance bandwidth and ECC is less than 0.05dB from 3.24GHz-4GHz and from 4GHz to 12GHz it is almost zero which is within operating frequency in UWB. diversity gain is high i.e., 9.95dB. from 3.7GHz to 4GHz and it is almost 10 dB from 4.1GHz to 12GHz. The efficiency and results of the antenna make it a promising antenna Applicant for use in UWB lightweight applications.
