This article introduces the evolution of 5G millimeter wave (mm Wave) standard, analyzes the major technical advantages and summarizes three typical application scenarios, then puts forward the optimization strategy of 5G mm Wave coverage capability, and finally forecasts the evolution direction of technology and products.
