Three types of composites, namely (1) carbon-fibre/metal-matrix, (2) oxide-fibre/molybdenum-matrix, and (3) oxide-fibre/high-entropy-matrix are considered as potential materials for future aviation engines. Technological schemes for producing the composites and their mechanical properties, as well as the potential of future development to maturing them are presented.
