Cobalt and vanadium complexes with (E)-2-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzylidene)hydrazine-1-carboxamide were synthesized. The ligand was structurally characterized by FTIR, 1 HNMR and 13 CNMR spectroscopy. The interaction activity of ligand and complexes was investigated with DNA by spectroscopical and physical methods. The results showed an intercalative binding between the synthesized compounds and DNA.
