This paper presents a substantiation of interval frequency estimation which can be carried out based on frequency dependence of calculated values of cross-correlation coefficient between analyzed signal and reference sine function with zero initial phase. In considered approach the interval of frequencies which contains the exact frequency of analyzed signal is established by finding the range of frequencies limited by the maximum value of the main lobe and the closest zero crossing of this lobe. The results of carried out simulations for interval frequency estimation of a multifrequency signal are also given.
