The effect of reducing the foil thickness and removing of one or two reference conductors in a modal filter on a double-sided printed circuit board is considered. The simulation of the ultra-short pulse propagation in such structures demonstrated that the signal is attenuated by 2 times in relation to half the e.m.f. when the foil thickness is 70 µm and by 3 times when the top left reference conductors is removed.
