In this paper, the Dynamic Position model (DP) of semi-submersible vessel was established in Ariane system based on static analysis and standards, to obtain DP capability polar plot under different failure pattern. Through the time-domain simulation, PID control theory and Kalman filtering method were used in DP accuracy analysis. Analysis results, such as ship motion, DP accuracy and propeller variation, could be provided for safety and reliability check in engineering practice.
