Inmetro provides technical training in mass metrology area, it seeks to increase the number of hours of hands-on activities. Virtual resources to simulate practices may be used. The objective of this work is to develop a virtual balance that works on a PC and simulates real equipment’s behavior. It has been obtained an indication mathematical model of a real balance through study of physical parameters that influence on weighing and it has been programmed this mathematical model in Virtual Balance Graphical Interface. Mathematical model was validated by comparing Virtual Balance weighing results and experimental results obtained using a real balance.
