The purpose of the research is to examine the development of instruments for measuring the critical thinking abilities of high school students. This research is a quantitative descriptive study. Aspects of critical thinking skills used are to identify problems, reconstruct arguments, evaluate arguments, determine solutions and conclude. Data are analyzed based on criteria such as unidimensionality, local independence assumption test, item fit, and level of difficulty, reliability, and information function. The analysis results show that instruments can be accepted for use and are useful for educators to measure the critical thinking skills of high school students.
