The background of this research was the limitation of interactive multimedia for identifying the plants. One method for identifications is using a determination key that contains statements between two alternative choices and then followed by a further choice that will ultimately lead to the level of the taxonomy. However, the available key determinations are based on websites which can only be accessed if the internet is available and only in English, Belgian and Korean. This research produce an interactive multimedia application (e-KeyPlant) as a media for identifying seed plants. The method used was ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) approach. The population was oppinion of e-KeyPlant involved 50 respondents (biology lecturers, graduate students, undergraduate students, laboratory assistants majoring in biology education and biology teachers). The data obtained was a quantitative data from the results of validation, questionnaire responses to satisfaction of the application used. Validation by experts on the application resulted in an average value of 89,74% (content) and 83,06% (design). This study concludes that the e-KeyPlant application can be used as a learning media for identifying seed plants and suitable for use in learning.
