The article discusses the use of various microprocessor platforms for the development of terminal devices of telecommunication broadcasting and warning systems. Their characteristics are investigated and the performance of the selected platforms is tested when mixing audio streams. The possibility of using parallel audio processing algorithms is also being considered.
