Influences of structures of optic fibers, fiber types and the dopant concentration, composition, number and thickness of layers on the characteristics of Mandelstam – Brillouin backscattering are discussed. Results of modeling and experimental tests for different types of optic fibers are presented. The comparative analysis of the obtained results is carried out.
