Lepton Flavor Universality Violation (LFUV) in b → sl + l − processes is investigated in the context of a 331 model. It is shown that in order to explain the experimentally observed deviations from the Standard Model in these FCNC transitions, a non-minimal version of the model has to be considered. We investigate the ability of this model in accommodating the model-independent scenarios currently favored by global fits.
