Since the reform and opening up policy, modified asphalt has achieved a qualitative leap from nothing to being, from small to large, from less to more, and has made great contributions to road construction in China. The good quality of modified asphalt is directly related to the safety and service life of road. Based on the research of modified asphalt at home and abroad, this paper briefly introduces the classification of modified asphalt, and according to the types of polymer modifiers in modified asphalt, the research status and progress of modified asphalt are described. At the same time, the development direction and application prospect of modified asphalt are put forward.
