In 2019, Guangdong Province made great efforts to push forward the pilot project of modern apprentice system in enterprises under the background of the national million enrollment expansion. Higher vocational colleges have changed their thinking and carried out modern apprenticeship pilot programs, but most of them have only explored the professional setting, curriculum system, school-enterprise cooperation model and other aspects, and few have gone deep into the relationship between internal research and learning of modern apprenticeship talent training model. Modern apprenticeship is a talent training model based on the cooperation between schools and enterprises and based on the joint training of school teachers and enterprise masters. Students (apprentices) should not only receive theoretical education and basic skills training in schools, but also learn professional skills in enterprises as apprentices to accumulate practical experience and realize the effective connection between theoretical learning in schools and practical application in enterprises. The modern apprenticeship education mode, which integrates work and study through “work-study altercation”, is different from both traditional apprenticeship and simple school education. It is a new example of modern apprenticeship endowed by the essential characteristics of higher vocational education under the new situation.
