The 15 th Siam Physics Congress (SPC2020) was successfully held online during June 4–5, 2020. Initially, the Thai Physics Society with Mahidol University and Prince of Songkla University had planned to co-host the SPC2020 in Trang province in Southern part Thailand. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic throughout many countries all over the world and also in Thailand, the organizing committee had seriously considered this unexpected, serious and intense crisis on the health issue. Therefore, there came a decision that the congress should not be held physically, but the congress should instead utilize online internet connections through hubs hosted at the Thai Physics Society and its co-hosts. This is to keep up to the highest standard of health regulation and self-practice (from WHO) in avoiding the extremely serious pandemic. Consequently, the Thai Physics Society, Mahidol University and Prince of Songkla University had facilitated and hosted the SPC2020 as national teleconference during June 4–5, 2020.
