Heat treatment conditions effect on the characteristics of the Z 3 -exciton resonant luminescence of CuCl nanocrystals in potassium-aluminaborate glass is studied. The observed patterns of luminescence buildup are explained by the participation of thermal effects in recombination processes. The size effect in the resonance emission of Z 3 -excitons at 80 K is confirmed. The inverse dependence of the defectiveness of CuCl crystals in glass on the luminescence buildup rate of Z 3 -excitons is established.
