Due to the difficult situation in the world caused by a new coronavirus infection, all higher education institutions in the Russian Federation were necessarily transferred to remote mode. This was the impetus for the transition of education to the era of digitalization, not partially, but completely and without exceptions. This article describes the positive effects of this transition, which many scientists have noticed. The article discusses the methods of distance learning and describes in more detail the most effective methods, such as the business game. The importance of focusing on the personalization of learning, which, in turn, is possible in the digital educational environment, is indicated.
