Methods for calculation of shock wave (SW) parameters used in industrial safety to assess the effects of explosions are considered. It is shown that existing methods do not provide the necessary accuracy of calculations. For the correct calculation of wave parameters, it is proposed to use high-accuracy CFD methods. The dimensionless dependences of pressure on distance are obtained for estimation of SW parameters, which allow to improve prediction of the effects of accidental explosions.
