On normalized generating sets for generalized quasi-twisted codes over finite fields

In this short correspondence, we firstly determine the normalized generating set for generalized quasi-twisted codes over finite fields. Then we present an algorithm to construct it. As an application, some optimal or the best-known linear codes are derived from generalized quasi-twisted codes by applying our method.
