Alternative and renewable energy sources are slowly but surely strengthening their positions in the fuel and energy balance of countries. The presented article assesses the potential use of non-traditional and renewable sources for heat supply systems. World experience in introducing alternative energy sources allows us to highly evaluate the implementation of such systems. Application of energy supply schemes based on renewable energy sources is difficult for several reasons in Russia. The study addresses the key problems of the active use of hybrid systems and suggests ways to solve them.
