Using the method of thermodynamic modeling the composition and quantity of generator gas formed during the processing of radioactive graphite in water vapor in the temperature range from 773 to 1073 K were determined. It has been established that the main components of the gas phase are CO, H 2 , CO 2 , CH 4 , H 2 O, HCl. The technological scheme and the scheme of a gas generator for the processing of radioactive graphite are developed.
