The MHD equilibria in low aspect ratio tokamak plasma are studied. The parameters correspond to the regimes of a system of relatively large sizes, which can be considered as the concept of a reactor (or source of fusion neutrons) on deuterium fuel. The efficiency of such a system substantially depends on the limitations associated with the conditions of MHD equilibrium and stability.
