The article presents the results of the development of the 3D modelling system for the evacuation process of people in case of fire and test experiments. The article describes the choice of the programming environment and the behaviour of the characters. The results of the test simulations of character behaviour, including processes of assisting other characters and fire-extinguishing, are shown. The presented results are the basis for creating a complete simulation model with increased realism.
