The article presents investigations results of ice destruction on heat exchange surfaces (radiators) using intense ultrasonic vibrations for subsequent research of cavitation resistance of heat exchangers. Possible locations and methods of mounting the ultrasonic vibratory system were identified for the typical construction of heat exchanger. Several constructions of ultrasonic vibratory systems have been studied for use in further researches.
