A brief review about data sources on the thermophysical properties of metals and alloys is presented. The basic advantages and disadvantages of popular information sources are shown. Approaches to the choice of the most reliable data are discussed in general. A simple algorithm for searching the most appropriate property information for specific cases is recommended.
