This article discusses the application of the production approach to the implementation of decision support systems, the input for which is a number of signs, and the output is a number of response actions. The general solution using the Cartesian product of sets is described. In addition, block diagrams and diagrams are given for visualization of theoretical material, and an example of an existing medical system implemented on the basis of the described solution is also considered. The relevance of traditional approaches to the development of a decision support system is proved along with the growing popularity of artificial neural networks.
