We study the phase characteristics of weak turbulence and analyze the estimation and compensation of phase noise caused by atmospheric turbulence. It is found that the traditional compensation algorithm is not very suitable in Free Space Optical Communication (FSOC). We propose to introduce the Frequency Domain Equalization (FDE) of single carrier into the FSOC with coherent reception, and the system performance can be greatly improved by the combination of FDE and phase compensation.
