TiO 2 films with exposed {001} crystal surface were prepared by hydrothermal method with 10 mm * 20 mm * 0.15 mm titanium sheet as titanium source and substrate and HF as shape control agent. The films were characterized by (XRD), (SEM) and (UV-VIS). The results showed that the TiO 2 films with high exposure {001} crystal surface could be obtained by using 0.01 mol/L HF, 11:5 mixture of water and isopropanol as solvent, hydrothermal reaction temperature of 180°C, reaction time of 3H and calcination at 450°C for 2h. In this paper, methylene blue was used as probe and xenon lamp was used as light source to study the photocatalytic activity of TiO 2 film.
