To follow the increasingly popularity of MALL (Mobile Assisted Language Learning) in the mobile multi-media era, the study probes into the design of a multi-modal language mobile learning platform supported by WeChat. The study also practically applies the platform to an English course for mobile learning and analyses the learning results with the quasi experimental research method. The experiment shows that the platform can effectively improve learners’ language ability, especially listening, writing and speaking skills.
