In this work I present recent results on the photon yield and elliptic flow coefficient in relativistic heavy-ion collisions for different centralities. In our calculation, we take into account gluon fusion and splitting channels which become available due to an intense and short-lived magnetic field. We show that with reasonable values for the saturation scale, our calculation helps to better describe the experimental results obtained at RHIC energies for the lowest part of the transverse photon momentum at different centralities.
