The paper presents the results obtained in the study of dusty particles of an arc discharge plasma (fractal aggregates). One of the possible reasons for the formation of fractal structures is the current layers. These are ion flows between adjacent cathode spots of an arc discharge. The magnetic field of the current sheet is an energy source, the dissipation of which leads to the creation of instability of the growth front. In this area, the formation of fractal-like aggregates (drift-dissipative instability) can occur.
