This study aimed to know the difference of geometry learning outcome between students studying with problem-based learning model and students studying with scientific learning approach after controlling mathematics initial ability. The design of this study was non-equivalent control group design. Random sampling technique was used to take the research sample which amounted to 18 students. Technique of collecting data was the tests mathematics initial ability and geometry learning outcome. Data was analysed by using analysis of covariate. The results showed that geometry learning outcomes between students studying with problem-based learning model were higher than that studying with scientific learning approach after controlling mathematics initial ability.
