As a national strategic emerging industry specialty, new energy materials and devices focus on the cultivation of university students’ innovative ability and international competitiveness. Combining professional characteristics and major problems in professional English teaching, explore an open “international conference” teaching model to build a “student-oriented” classroom. Under the guidance of this model, professional English courses, with a focus on both the professional foundation and applied practice, are mainly project-driven learning, which stimulates students’ ability to use professional English in many aspects.
