This study aimed to know the effect of the use of video media on basic motion skills basketball extracurricular lay-up shoot of high school students at senior high school 01 in the school year 2018/2019. The research used in this study was quantitative research with research design which was experimentation. To determine the sampling in this study used saturated sampling technique which was using all students who take part in basketball extracurricular activities at SMAN 01 Suela. The samples in this study were 15 students participating in basketball extracurricular activity at SMAN 01 Suela in the school year 2018/2019. Data collection techniques used in this research is pre-test and post-test one group. From the calculation results showed that the t-count value was greater than t-table (5.58> 1.761) at a significance level of 5% indicating that there was an influence of the use of video media on the basic motion ability of basketball lay-up shoot on SMAN 01 Suela in the school year 2018/2019. This showed Ha: accepted and Ho: rejected.
