The classification of the basic axisymmetric boundary value problems of the mathematical theory of elasticity for homogeneous and piecewise homogeneous elastic spaces with a penny-shaped crack is given. Using the Hankel integral transform, governing integral equations (GIEs) of these problems are derived and methods for finding their exact solutions are indicated.
