In this work we study the properties of optical states in transverse subdiffractional dipolar chains of periodically spaced scatterers. We demonstrate that in this system there are states with low values of emission rates, and we explain this as a reduction of different multipolar contributions up to high values of orbital angular momentum. We also show that the emission rate for these states decreases as ∼ N −6.76 with the number of scatterers.
