The method has been developed for calculating microhardness values under different loads, with known macro-hardness as well as with macro-hardness and microhardness with a single microhardness value, based on comparing the size of non-recovered and recovered imprints – imprints method (IM) . The method correctness test for different materials in a wide range of hardness values –80 … 1500 HV , at different indentation loads, was performed. High accuracy of the developed method is shown.
