On the martensitic non-corrosive steel support (Z12CNDV12) it is deposited by plasma jet, tungsten carbide, in three different thicknesses. We determined the electrochemical potential of both the coating layer and the substrate for different concentrations of NaCl in a solution. The experimental results are mathematically processed. From each protective coating a 1, 2 and 3 degree polynomial fit were obtained. Also, the comparison between the three obtained thicknesses mathematical function is realized.
