Discusses the solution of the problem of a circular elastic-plastic bifurcation of thin-walled cylindrical shell under the proportional subcritical processes loading shell axial compressive force and torque in deviatoric space of deformations of A. A. Ilyushin. The solution is based on the theory of stability of inelastic systems under complex loading V. G. Zubchaninov. The incompressibility condition of the material and the homogeneity condition of the stress state in the shell up to the moment of loss of stability are used. The problem is solved in a geometrically linear formulation [1-7].
