We study string winding corrections to supergravity solutions in double eld theory (DFT). We nd ve-brane and wave solutions of diverse codimensions where the winding coordinates dependence is interpreted as string worldsheet instanton corrections. In order to show this fact, we give a brief discussion on the origin of these winding corrections in gauged linear sigma models (GLSMs). We propose a GLSM that provides a string sigma model whose target spaces are a defect NS5-brane, a Kaluza-Klein vortex and an exotic 5 2 2 -brane. They are codimension two objects and are related by T-duality. This contribution is based on the works [1, 2].
