Synopsis Data will be presented for positron scattering from neon. As a “simple” target, neon provides a useful target for the testing and exploration of our fundamental understanding of scattering processes. The low-energy, high-resolution positron beamline based at the Australian National Universitywas used to measure elastic differential cross sections and total electronic and ionization cross sections for low energy scattering of positrons from neon. The experimental data presented will be compared to several recent theoretical calculations.
