Synopsis The nonlinear dynamics in two-leg ladder system subject to an artificial magnetic field are discussed in detail. The critical conditions for the formation of soliton and for the transition from diffusion to self-trapping are presented, and confirmed by the numerical simulations of the full discrete nonlinear Schrödinger equation.
