Synopsis Electronic structure and VUV-induced fragmentation of selected molecules of the indole family have been studied using valence photoemission spectroscopy (PES), core X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), near-edge X-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) and Photo-Electron Photo-Ion Coincidence (PEPICO).
