Metal doped Molybdenum disulphide (MoS 2 ) has been synthesized through hydrothermal method. The layer distance of MoS 2 has not changed due to the tiny doping amount of metal element while the hydrogen evolution catalytic performance has been modified. The structure and morphology has been observed through SEM and XRD pattern. Hydrogen evolution reaction has been carried out in a standard three electrode system and the results showed that doped MoS 2 performed good catalytic activity. Both Co and Fe showed obvious improvement in the catalytic performance.
