This paper deals with the investigation of the influence of copper on the structure-phase composition and strength of laser-welded connections of aluminum alloys of the system Al-Cu-Mg, Al-Cu-Mg-Li, Al-Cu-Li. The microstructure, mechanical characteristics and chemical composition of the welded joints have been investigated. It is founded that the laser welding results in the reduction of copper concentration in the solid solution and growth of this concentration on the dendritic boundary.
