The paper presents the results of a study of the influence of surface active agent during the ball milling of metal powders in a planetary mill. It is shown that the mass fraction of the surface active agent in the powder mixture under study affects the size of the particles being treated, depending on the time of processing. The particle size distribution, the specific surface area were determined, and the surface morphology of the initial and ball milled particles was studied.
